KTI's modern ice plant for last port of call01 November 2014
Last port of call in England for the Mayflower in 1620, the harbour of Newlyn, always maintained a tradition of providing effective shelter and organized services to the UK commercial fishing fleet.
Today Newlyn is still an extremely busy fishing port, the first 24/7 harbour available to boats fishing the South Western Approaches at the very end of the UK.
KTI is commissioning this month a brand new 100 ton ice plant with 90 ton automated ice storage and ice delivery to the fishing vessels on 24/7 basis.
